Our Creative Approach

At the Garage, we listen to everything the client is saying by way of goals, obstacles, comforts, discomforts, etc. We always want the client to "want" to work out and work very hard at finding exercises that will give them a full-body experience, but also one they feel good about and enjoy.

If you like to do it, you'll likely continue and will find success.

We work very hard at modifying in a way that will empower, even the newest inexperienced clients. It’s about listening to cues regarding competitiveness (or not) and creating workouts that might encourage someone to work harder, without them even realizing it.

We use many modes and tools for exercise to keep things exciting, interesting, and always keep the body guessing. Garage clients never get the same workout twice. We use fun and interesting timing techniques including tabata, timing variations, music as timers, and counting variations. It's all about creativity and finding the very best approach specific to each person.

Our Story

After training in a gym-setting for a few years, Heather decided to open her own personal training and group fitness business. A few short months after using her own home space and driving to client's homes, she was given an incredible opportunity.

A dear friend (and her family) offered their 3-car garage for a training studio. It was in a great location in Maple Valley and served her well for almost 3 years.

Now, dreams have become a reality with the move to The Garage Fitness right in the heart of downtown Enumclaw.

Blessed with family and friends who believed in and supported her, she has established a 1,800 square foot space equipped with commercial-grade equipment and state-of-the-art technology.

The Cole Street location provides the space needed for a studio of this quality.

After its opening on Cole Street on January 2nd, 2017, the Garage quickly became a safe space for motivation, workouts, and wellness. When the pandemic hit in the Spring of 2020, life as we knew it completely changed. We immediately shifted to online classes and, as mandates allowed, we eventually started doing outside workouts. Slowly we are moving back into the Garage space as allowed.

Starting in April of 2021, the focus of The Garage has shifted to overall wellness. The Garage Fitness has now become “GARAGE STRONG - Body and Mind Wellness”.

Heather Invie, the owner of The Garage Fitness, is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with over 10 years of experience with training and group fitness. With a Bachelors degree in Sociology/Psychology, a Masters degree in Business, and a Life Coach certification, she is living her dream of helping people improve their health and wellness.
